Weather In Goa In May 2019

Goa in May 2019, huh? Let's talk about it. You know, everyone raves about Goa. Beaches, parties, sun... bliss!

But May? May is a whole different beast. And maybe, just maybe, I kind of enjoyed it.

May in Goa: The "Off" Off-Season

Okay, let's get one thing straight. It was hot. Blistering hot. Like, fry-an-egg-on-the-sand hot.

The kind of heat that makes you question all your life choices, especially the one that led you to Goa in May 2019.

Tourists? Almost nonexistent. The usual crowds were a distant memory. It felt like we had the place to ourselves.

The Deserted Beaches

Remember those iconic Goan beaches? Imagine them...empty. Seriously, empty.

You could spread out your towel, build a sandcastle kingdom, and not have to worry about anyone stepping on it.

It was eerily peaceful. Almost apocalyptic. But peaceful nonetheless.

Okay, so swimming in the ocean was like wading into a lukewarm bath. Not exactly refreshing.

And yes, you were sweating before you even reached the shoreline. But hey, at least the water was wet!

The Bargaining Bonanza

Shopping was...an experience. Shopkeepers were practically begging you to buy something. Desperate times, desperate measures!

I managed to snag a ridiculously overpriced sarong for about the price of a cup of chai. Bargaining skills: level expert.

They were probably happy to just see a customer. Who could blame them?

The Food Factor

The food? Still amazing. Goan cuisine never disappoints, no matter the weather.

Eating spicy vindaloo in scorching heat? That's living, my friends. That's living.

But finding a place that was actually open? That was the real challenge.

Why May in Goa Might Be Underrated

Here's where my unpopular opinion comes in. I kind of loved it. The solitude. The emptiness. The sheer weirdness of it all.

It was like experiencing a secret Goa, hidden away from the usual tourist hordes.

Think of it as extreme budget travel. Everything's cheaper. Flights, accommodation, even those overpriced sarongs.

Plus, you can actually hear yourself think. No thumping music. No drunken tourists yelling at 3 am.

Just the sound of the waves, the rustling palm trees, and your own existential musings.

"Goa in May 2019: Not for the faint of heart, but definitely an adventure."

It was undeniably exhausting. Constantly seeking shade. Dousing myself in sunscreen. Feeling like I was slowly melting.

But there was a certain charm to it. A raw, unfiltered Goan experience. Before the monsoons truly hit.

The Monsoon Tease

You could feel the monsoon hanging in the air. A sense of anticipation, a promise of relief.

The sky would darken ominously, threatening a downpour. But then...nothing. Just more heat.

It was like Goa was teasing us, saying, "Just wait. Your suffering will soon be over."

Would I Do It Again?

Honestly? Maybe. But only if I'm feeling particularly masochistic.

Or if I need to escape the crowds and find some inner peace (and a killer tan, albeit a sweaty one).

Goa in May 2019: A challenge, a test of endurance, and surprisingly... a little bit magical.

So, next time someone asks you about visiting Goa, and you want a truly unique experience, suggest May. Just don't blame me if they hate you.

It's not for everyone. But for the adventurous souls, the ones who crave solitude and can handle a bit of extreme heat, Goa in May might just be the perfect escape.

Just remember to pack plenty of sunscreen, a good book, and a healthy dose of irony. You'll need it.
