"Satisfaction" is obviously a masterpiece. No arguments there. That riff is iconic. We all know it, we all love it.

But the rest? It's a bit of a mixed bag, isn't it? A glorious, messy, slightly uneven mixed bag. I'm willing to die on this hill.

Aftermath feels like the Stones truly finding their voice. Out of Our Heads is great, but it feels a little... transitional. It's a stepping stone to something greater.

Don't get me wrong. I still blast "Get Off of My Cloud" at ear-splitting volume. And "Paint It, Black" is a masterpiece. Still, in my humble opinion...
