Sure, the original quote from Forrest Gump tries to convey the idea of unpredictability. You don't know what you're going to get. Some chocolates are amazing. Others? Maybe not so much.

But let's dissect this, shall we?

First off, a box of chocolates usually tells you what's inside. There's a little map. A guide! It’s like a spoiler alert for your tastebuds. Life? Not so much. There's no cheat sheet for navigating adulthood. Or even just figuring out what to eat for dinner.

Secondly, even the “bad” chocolates aren't that bad. Okay, maybe the coconut ones are questionable (no offense, coconut lovers!). But even then, they're still chocolate! They're still sweet and generally pleasant. Life's "bad" moments? They can be truly awful. Heartbreak. Job loss. Stubbing your toe on the coffee table. These aren't just slightly off-putting flavors.
