Kakashi: Ready to Roll a D20?

Let's be honest. We've all thought about it. Kakashi Hatake, the Copy Ninja, as a D&D character.

Forget your elves and dwarves! Can you imagine Kakashi at your table?

The Obvious Choice: Class

Okay, here’s my hot take. He’s not a Rogue. Shocking, I know!

Everyone jumps to Rogue because "stealth" and "trickery." But Kakashi is more than just sneaking around. He's a tactical genius.

I think he's a Multiclass, baby! Fighter/Wizard all the way.

Fighter for obvious reasons: dude can fight. Wizard for all those sweet, sweet jutsu spells.

Race: Obviously Human (Probably)

This is where it gets boring. He's clearly human.

Unless... hear me out. Aasimar? I mean, that hair… the mysterious past... maybe some celestial bloodline? Unlikely, but fun to think about!

I'm kidding... mostly. He's human. Let's move on.

Ability Scores: Where to Min-Max

Dexterity is a must! Hello, dodging kunai and lightning blades?

Wisdom should be high too. Kakashi gives great advice. And sees through everyone’s BS.

Intelligence? Maxed out. He’s the Copy Ninja! He learns things fast.

Strength? Eh, decent. He's not super strong. He is strategic and can throw kunais with precision.

Charisma? Debatable. He’s got that cool, aloof thing going on. But is it charming? That's up for debate. Let’s say he’s got that quiet charisma.

Constitution? Needs work. Man’s always tired. Probably from reading those books. And trauma, let's be real.

Feats: Time to Get Specific

Alert is a MUST. He's always on guard. Always.

Lucky? Absolutely. Surviving the Fourth Shinobi World War? Pure luck (and skill, fine).

War Caster. Essential for a Fighter/Wizard multiclass. Keep those spells flowing!

Equipment: The Essentials

Kunai. Lots and lots of kunai. Never leave home without them.

Shuriken. Ditto.

A trusty copy of Make-Out Paradise. For... research purposes, obviously.

And of course, his Sharingan! Though, mechanically, that's more of a class feature than equipment.

Spells: What Jutsu to Cast

Lightning Blade (Chidori)? Lightning Bolt spell. Duh!

Water Dragon Jutsu? Shape Water, obviously.

Earth Style Wall? Wall of Stone, maybe?

And let's not forget Summoning Jutsu! Find familiar, but with ninja hounds.

Alignment: The Million-Ryo Question

Lawful Good? Nah. Chaotic Good? Maybe.

I'm going with True Neutral. He does what he thinks is right, regardless of the rules.

Plus, he clearly doesn't care about schedules.

The Unpopular Opinion

Here it is: Kakashi’s D&D character sheet would be terrifyingly overpowered.

Seriously, try DMing for a player with Kakashi's abilities. Good luck balancing that encounter!

The Copy Ninja can literally learn anything. That's a DM's nightmare.

Conclusion: Ready to Play?

So, there you have it. My ridiculously over-thought take on Kakashi as a D&D character.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go roll up a character sheet. I call dibs on playing the Copy Ninja first!
