How To Get Wolverine In Lego Marvel Superheroes

Alright, so you wanna unlock Wolverine in Lego Marvel Superheroes? Good choice! He's, like, the OG grumpy mutant, right? Plus, those claws? Come on! But getting him isn't exactly a walk in Central Park. More like a sprint through a Sentinels' scrapyard. But don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. Think of me as your personal Nick Fury, guiding you through this… slightly blocky… mission.
First things first: Story Mode
You can't just waltz into the game and expect Wolvie to be waiting with a plate of… what do Wolverines even eat? Honey? Whatever. You gotta at least make some progress in the main story. You need to unlock the entire Manhattan hub world. Why? Because that's where the magic (and the side missions) happens. Trust me on this. Consider the story mode as the necessary evil. You have to wade through it!

Next Up: The Sentinels!
Okay, once Manhattan's yours to roam (which it totally will be!), you gotta find the mission that unlocks Wolverine. It's called "Sentinel Surprise" which honestly, sounds more like a birthday party gone wrong than a fight against giant robots. But hey, LEGO humor, am I right?
You'll find this mission chilling out near the X-Mansion. (Where else, really?) Look for the little mission marker on your map. It's usually a portrait of the person who is giving the mission. In this case, I think you'll be looking for Professor X.

Time for Some Action!
Now, the mission itself isn’t crazy hard. You'll mostly be smashing stuff (which, let's be honest, is half the fun of LEGO games, right?) and solving some simple puzzles. You'll be facing off against… you guessed it… Sentinels! Big, stompy robots that are not too friendly to mutants (or LEGO bricks, for that matter). Just use the character abilities the game gives you and you will do just fine. It's all pretty straightforward. Even I managed it, and I sometimes struggle with assembling IKEA furniture.
Freeing Wolverine? Almost…

Completing the "Sentinel Surprise" mission doesn't automatically unlock Wolverine. Nope! It unlocks the ability to buy him. Classic LEGO game move, am I right? They get you hooked and then say, "Pay up, bub!"
Money, Money, Money! (It’s a Rich Man’s World…)
So, after you finish the mission, head to the character selection screen. Find Wolverine (he'll be locked, duh) and you'll see how many studs (that's LEGO money, FYI) you need to shell out to unlock him. It's usually not a huge amount, something like 150,000 studs, give or take. Don't worry, you've probably collected that amount of money already and don't even know it!

If you are short on studs, go back and replay earlier levels in Free Play mode. Find all the minikits and the red brick to max out your stud collecting capabilities.
Unlock! Finally!
Hand over the studs, and BAM! Wolverine is yours. Now you can run around Manhattan slashing things, using his sense abilities to find hidden secrets, and generally being the best there is at what he does (which, apparently, is being a LEGO character).

Bonus Tip: Red Bricks are Your Friend
Seriously, find those red bricks. Some of them give you stud multipliers, which makes earning money way easier. Look for them in the hub world. Google their locations for easier access if you are in a hurry.
Enjoy Your Wolverine!
So, there you have it. A (hopefully) not-too-complicated guide to unlocking Wolverine. Now go forth, my friend, and unleash your inner mutant! And remember, if you get stuck, there's always YouTube. Just… don't blame me if you end up spending hours watching LEGO gameplays. Happy gaming!
