How Much Stardust To Trade

Let's talk about stardust. Yes, that sparkly stuff in a very popular mobile game. The stuff you hoard like a dragon protecting its gold. But what's it really worth?

I have a confession. I'm a stardust cheapskate. Some might even call me… stingy.

The Myth of the Perfect Pokémon

People say, “Wait for the perfect IVs!” I hear them. I see them patiently catching hundreds of Pidgeys, praying for that 100% specimen.

But here's the thing. Life's too short! Also, battery life is even shorter.

Chasing perfection costs a fortune in stardust. And time! Let’s not forget the time!

Is a 2% Increase Worth 10,000 Stardust?

Seriously, think about it. Are those extra few points really going to make or break your raid battle? Probably not.

I’d rather power up a good, solid 90% and get out there. Fight the good fight! Spend the saved stardust on something…else.

Like, maybe…shiny Pokémon.

Because let's be honest, style points matter. A LOT.

The Second Charge Move Dilemma

Ah, the second charge move. Crucial for PVP, they say. Essential for coverage, they claim.

And, yes, I agree... sometimes. But a lot of the time, it just feels like a stardust sinkhole.

Especially on Pokemon I only use for raids. Do I really need a second move on my Rhyperior when Rock Wrecker does the job just fine?

Know Your Priorities!

I’d rather invest in a whole new Pokémon than unlock a redundant move on an old one. Especially if I don't use it a lot.

Think hard before you click that button. Is it truly worth the cost? Or are you just succumbing to pressure?

And don't even get me started on the cost of unlocking moves on Legendary Pokémon. Ouch!

Trading: A Stardust Black Hole?

Trading. A wonderful feature! Except when it's not. Specifically, when you're trying to fill out that elusive Pokédex.

The cost of trading increases with friendship level. But even at Best Friends, it can still sting. Especially for Legendaries or shinies.

A million stardust for a regional? I think I’ll just admire it from afar.

Friendship is Great, But Stardust is Finite

Some people are obsessed with filling their Pokédex no matter the cost. I applaud their dedication. I also weep for their stardust reserves.

I'd rather build up my raid team. Because I can actually use them.

Maybe I’m just a terrible friend. But hey, at least I’m a stardust-rich terrible friend!

The (Unpopular) Truth About Stardust Spending

We all have different play styles. Some people love to min-max every single stat. That's fine! I respect the dedication!

But for me, stardust is a resource to be managed carefully. Savored, even.

I'd rather spread it around. Power up a variety of Pokémon. Instead of hyper-focusing on a select few perfect specimens.

Find Your Balance

So, how much stardust should you trade? How much should you spend on second moves?

That's up to you! There's no right or wrong answer. Play the way that makes you happy.

But maybe, just maybe, consider whether that next upgrade is really worth it. Your stardust balance (and your sanity) might thank you.

So go forth and catch 'em all! (Or at least, catch the ones that are worth your precious stardust).
