Here's the thing. I have a confession. It's an unpopular opinion, probably. Prepare yourselves.

Sometimes, just sometimes, Google Flights showing flights from KC feels...a little limited.

Yes, there's the drive. I acknowledge the drive.

It's not exactly a hop, skip, and a jump to Des Moines (or Omaha, or even St. Louis, depending on where you're going and how desperate you are for a good deal).

But weigh the cost. Gas versus a potentially hundreds of dollars cheaper plane ticket.

Suddenly, that slightly soul-crushing highway stretch doesn't seem so bad, right?

I mean, load up on audiobooks and snacks. It’s a road trip!

Of course, there are ways to make Google Flights in Kansas City work for you.
