Demon Slayer Season 2 Gogo

Okay, let's talk Demon Slayer Season 2. Specifically, let's talk about something that, apparently, isn't cool to talk about. Buckle up, because I have thoughts. (Controversial thoughts, maybe.)
The Entertainment District: Slow Burn or Just... Slow?
The Entertainment District Arc. Sounded awesome, right? Neon lights, demons, and Tengen Uzui, the flamboyant Sound Hashira. What's not to love?
Well, here's my hot take: it kinda dragged. Don't get me wrong, the animation was gorgeous. Ufotable really outdid themselves. But the pacing? Hmmm. Let's just say I wasn't exactly on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Must Read
Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm impatient. But after the absolute rollercoaster that was the Mugen Train Arc, I was expecting… more. More action, more suspense, more… everything! It felt like we spent a lot of time searching for Uzui's wives. Good for him, getting three, I guess. But was it that interesting?
“But the character development!”

I hear you. I do. And yes, Nezuko had a HUGE moment. It was awesome. I cried a little (okay, maybe a lot). But even that felt like it took… a while to get there. We all knew Nezuko was a powerhouse waiting to happen. The anticipation, while building, felt stretched thin sometimes.
Gyutaro and Daki: Villains We Loved to Hate (Eventually)
Gyutaro and Daki were cool villains, I'll give them that. Creepy, powerful, and with a tragic backstory. A winning combo in the Demon Slayer universe. But even their fights felt... repetitive at times. Slice, dice, scream. Rinse and repeat. Don't get me wrong, the animation during those fights was top-tier. But the actual choreography sometimes felt a little... uninspired?
Maybe I'm just being picky. But when you compare it to some of the earlier battles, like Tanjiro vs. Rui on Mount Natagumo? That was edge-of-your-seat stuff. The Entertainment District Arc had its moments, sure. But the tension didn't always feel as consistently high.

And let's be honest, Daki's whining got old fast. "But brotherrrrrr!" Okay, we get it. You're codependent. Can we move on to the part where you get your butt kicked now?
The Verdict: Still Good, But Not Peak Demon Slayer
Look, I'm not saying the Entertainment District Arc was bad. It wasn't. It was still Demon Slayer, and even "okay" Demon Slayer is better than most anime out there. The animation alone is worth the watch. Uzui is a fun character, even if his three wives felt a little... underdeveloped.

And yes, the final battle against Gyutaro and Daki was epic. The animation was insane. The stakes were high. And seeing everyone work together to overcome such a powerful enemy was truly inspiring. But it took a while to get there, didn't it?
So, yeah, maybe I'm just an outlier. Maybe everyone else loved every single second of the Entertainment District Arc. But for me, it was good, not great. A solid 7/10. Still worth watching, but not quite the masterpiece that some people seem to think it is. Bring on Season 3! Hopefully, it will recapture some of that Mugen Train magic.
What do you think? Am I completely wrong? Or did anyone else feel like the Entertainment District Arc was a bit of a slow burn?
