Alright, let's talk about Electivire. Yes, that Electivire. The one everyone forgets exists until you smack them with a surprise Thunder Punch. In BDSP, everyone's busy min-maxing their legendaries. But me? I'm over here, perfecting my shocking (pun intended!) Electivire build.

The Shocking Truth (My Build)

Forget the fancy stuff. We're going old-school. Pure, unadulterated, electric mayhem. My Electivire isn't winning any beauty contests, but it will win battles. That's the goal.

So, what's the secret? Buckle up, Buttercup. It's simpler than you think.

Nature: Adamant. Why? Because we're hitting things. Hard. Special Attack? We don't know her. We're focusing on that juicy Attack stat. More Attack = more Thunder Punch pain. Simple math, really.

Ability: Vital Spirit. Insomnia is fine, sure, but who's REALLY relying on that? Vital Spirit makes sure our Electric friend doesn't doze off mid-battle! This helps avoid a sneaky Spore or Sleep Powder attack. Stay awake, stay shocking!

Movesets: Zap 'Em Good!

Okay, this is where it gets interesting. I'm sure the pros will laugh, but hear me out. My Electivire is a force of nature, and here's the storm:

• Thunder Punch: Obvious, right? STAB damage, reliable, and looks cool. Plus, who doesn't love a good punch?
• Earthquake: Coverage, baby! Gotta hit those pesky Ground-types. Plus, it's just satisfying to shake the battlefield.
• Ice Punch: Dragon-types tremble before the mighty Electivire! More coverage. More pain.
• Cross Chop: Okay, okay, hear me out! Fighting-type coverage. The animation is awesome. Sometimes, you just gotta go for it. Besides, it’s more exciting than brick break in my opinion.

I know, I know. No Fire Punch. No Wild Charge. Unconventional? Maybe. Effective? Absolutely. This moveset is a surprisingly good answer for many different types.

Item of Choice: Life Orb

Gotta squeeze every last drop of power out of Electivire. Life Orb is the way to go. More damage? Yes, please! A little recoil? Worth it! Embrace the chaos!

Alternatively, you could also go with an Expert Belt. But if you are a madman, go with life orb.

EV Training: Pump Up the Power

Max Attack and Speed. No surprises there. We want to hit hard and hit first. The rest goes into HP. A little extra bulk never hurt anyone.

Why This Works (Sort Of)

Look, I'm not saying this Electivire build is going to win you the World Championships. But it will catch your opponents off guard. Everyone expects special attacks from Electivire. They don't expect a physical powerhouse that can actually take a hit (sometimes).

Plus, it's just plain fun! There's something satisfying about using a "sub-optimal" Pokémon and still managing to sweep a team.
