Okay, let's be real. We all had that Being Human phase. The American one, specifically. Werewolves, vampires, and ghosts living together? It was peak supernatural roommate drama. And who didn't ship Aidan and Sally? Don't lie.

Remember back in the day when we actually bought DVDs? Before streaming completely took over our lives? Good times. And remember how frustrating it was waiting for a new season to drop? We stalked Amazon, haunted Best Buy, and refreshed TVShowsOnDVD.com (RIP?) more times than Sally haunted her house.
So, let's talk about the mythical Being Human US Season 4 DVD release date. Or, more accurately, the lack thereof.

It's like this weird urban legend. You see the earlier seasons readily available. Then…poof! Season 4 vanishes into the ether. Like Aidan in a sunbeam (too soon?).
Is it a conspiracy? Did a rogue vampire snatch all the copies? Did the ghosts hide them for a laugh? The truth is probably far less exciting, involving rights issues, low demand, and the general decline of physical media. But where is it!
I've got a potentially unpopular opinion: Season 4 was…pretty good! Okay, maybe not as good as the earlier seasons. But it still had its moments! Aidan's existential crises! Sally’s increasingly complicated ghost life! Josh trying to navigate werewolfdom and relationships! Come on!
And that ending! No spoilers, but it definitely deserved to be re-watched. Repeatedly. On glorious DVD. But alas…
The Streaming Era (Boo!)
Nowadays, we mostly just stream things. Which is fine. Convenient, even. But there's something so satisfying about owning a physical copy. Especially of a show you loved. Plus, streaming rights change! Shows disappear! What if Being Human vanishes from Netflix or Hulu one day?! I'll be forced to dust off my pirate hat!
(I’m kidding. Mostly).
I know what you are thinking, "Why not just buy the individual digital episodes?" Well, I am a person of principle (and a cheapskate). I like the bonus features! The deleted scenes! The behind-the-scenes interviews where they awkwardly answer questions about shipping Aidan and Sally! All of that is often absent from buying episodes.
The Unpopular Opinion Section
Okay, brace yourselves. Another potentially unpopular opinion: I think Liam Neeson would make an amazing older, grizzled version of Aidan in some sort of legacy sequel. Hear me out. The gravitas! The brooding! The ability to deliver a one-liner while simultaneously staking a vampire! It writes itself!
Also, side note: Can we talk about how underrated Kristen Hager (Nora) was? She brought so much heart and vulnerability to that role. #JusticeForNora!
Back to the DVD situation... So, what's a fan to do? We can keep petitioning Amazon. We can start a letter-writing campaign (remember those?). We can collectively will a Season 4 DVD into existence. Or, we can just accept our streaming fate and maybe, just maybe, hope that someday, a treasure hunter unearths a forgotten warehouse filled with Being Human US Season 4 DVDs.
Until then, I'll be over here, re-watching Seasons 1-3 and dreaming of what could have been. And quietly judging anyone who didn't cry when Sally…
