Okay, let's be real. We're all thinking it. Where is Alita: Battle Angel 2? I mean, seriously, what's the hold up?

Still Waiting... and Waiting...

It feels like we've been stuck in Iron City waiting for Alita to return for ages. The first movie was fantastic, right? Explosions, cool cyborg fights, and a surprisingly emotional story.

But here we are, years later, still no sequel. Is Zapan hiding it from us?

Unpopular Opinion Time!

Now, brace yourselves. This might be controversial. But... maybe the long wait is making us too hyped for a sequel?

Think about it. We've built up this image of Alita: Battle Angel 2 in our heads. What if the actual movie can't possibly live up to it?

I know, I know. Blasphemy! But just consider the possibility.

Maybe it will be a rehash of the original. Perhaps the villain will be a letdown. Or even worse, the plot will be confusing!

We wouldn't want that, would we?

Is the Wait Just Hype Inflation?

The first movie ended on a cliffhanger. Alita was ready to take on Nova. That means sequel, right?

But sometimes, these setups don't always pan out. Think of all the movies promised sequels that never materialized.

Are we setting ourselves up for disappointment?

Maybe It's Best Left a Mystery?

This is where things get really spicy. What if...and hear me out... what if it's better if Alita: Battle Angel 2 never happens?

Imagine Alita becoming a mythical figure in cinema. The one perfect cyborg movie with endless potential that we only get to imagine.

Like a beautiful, unfinished dream. Is it too much to ask for?

I know. I feel like a crazy person. But think about it. No bad sequel to ruin the legacy!

The Power of Imagination

Instead of a movie, we can create our own versions of Alita's continuing story. Fan fiction, anyone?

We can imagine epic battles, new characters, and deeper explorations of Iron City.

And best of all? We are in control!

Don't Get Me Wrong, I Still Want It!

Despite my ramblings, I still secretly (or not so secretly) want Alita: Battle Angel 2. A trailer would send the internet into a frenzy.

I want to see Alita kick some more butt. I want to learn more about her past. I want to see Rosa Salazar back in action.

I just want to be prepared for the possibility that it might not live up to our incredibly high expectations.

Maybe James Cameron is just busy with Avatar. I get it. Those blue aliens need attention too.

But please, James, don't forget about Alita!

A Plea to the Movie Gods

So, to the movie gods, I make a humble request. If you're going to give us Alita: Battle Angel 2, please make it amazing.

Don't rush it. Don't cut corners. Give us the movie we deserve!

And if you're not going to make it...well, maybe just send us a cool deleted scene or something. Okay?

Until then, I'll be over here, rewatching the first movie and dreaming of what could be.

And maybe, just maybe, lowering my expectations a tiny bit.

Because, let's face it, a little bit of cynicism never hurt anyone, right?
